The opinions of celebrities, such as famous entertainers and athletes, are more important to younger people than they are to older people. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

 ‘Celebrity’, as its name suggests, is the one well-known in populace, whose opinion may place a role in their viewers. In light of the parameters-the means of getting the celebrity’s opinion, the worship phenomena, the life experience, I believe celebrities’ opinions influence more on youths than elders

 

First, in light of the means of getting the celebrity’s opinion, the literature tells us either in YouTube or the social media, there are larger population of youth viewers than the elderly ones. If so, the youth receive more and frequent information from the two communication means than the elderly. Also the statistics show there are large percentage of youths who tend to get their information on the internet than the elderly. The elderly may be more on TV and News to get the celebrity’s views, where, however, the celebrity is fixed and cannot be extended. For the above reasons, I believe the celebrity’s opinion has more influence on the youths than on the elderly

 

 

Secondly, in light of the worship phenomenon, by observing the elderly and the young, we can find that youths may have more tendency to worship idol than the elderly. Due to the celebrity often claim ‘young and beauty’ as a part of appeal. Many youths are still in mellow atmosphere of adulthood, romance, love and beauty. They might more possibly fall into ‘idol worship ‘complex than the elderly. The youth see the bright side of the celebrity, and therefore explicitly and implicitly identify with their all doings.

 

Last, the celebrity’s opinion may not be different from the expert’s, and may just stand for his personal view. The elderly with better life experience and judgement. Consequently, they are less influenced by the celebrity’s.
